VERSIONS AND VARIATIONS (2021)
DF Tram’s ‘VERSIONS AND VARIATIONS’, is a hand picked selection of some of his favourite versions and remixes of tracks from his album ‘Serenitay Infinitay’. Many of the remixers and collaborators on this project have a long history with DF Tram as an artist, and some are artists he was eager to work with. This project features some of the most prolific names in the psychedelic chill out scene and some that may also be new discoveries to listeners.

Both have been an integral part of the underground electronic music scene for over 15 years as of this release, and worked together in the DJ collective known as Ambisonic since 2003. They have produced albums and remixed with many acclaimed international artists.

IFO/ELECTRIC LUCIFER BOOK III (2011)

“The Electric Lucifer is a quintessentially strange electronic music/acid rock record released in 1970. Composed by Bruce Haack (1931-1988), it's a concept album that employs an array of instrumentation including Moogs, guitar, voice, and a DIY vocoder to tell an epic story of the battle between heaven and hell. Electric Lucifer Book II followed in 1979, and Haack also recorded Electric Lucifer Book 3 I.F.O. (Identified Flying Object) in rough, demo form, but it never saw an official release.

Several years ago, San Francisco ambient DJ DF Tram/Sound Capsule had a chance encounter with Haack's friend and longtime manager, Chris Kachulis. After getting to know one another, Kachulis provided DF Tram with access to the demos of Electric Lucifer Book 3 I.F.O., and encouraged him to mix and remix the raw material into his own vision for the final album in the trilogy. San Francisco based band Jump/Cut covers a lot of sonic territory built on the electronica aesthetic while moving their vibe towards organic sound creation with vibrant effects and eclectic samples. Their "organic electronica" melds a continuum spanning styles from drum n' bass, downtempo, breakbeat, ambient, dub, trip-hop, and even modern jazz compositional ideas.
